HD200/300 color space

Do the extenders output limited (16-235) RGB over the HDMI port like settops, or 0-255 like PC's? Is it RGB based or YPbPr?

Funny I haven't thought about this for years, but nowadays I'm calibrating a new projector, and have to know.

They will preferentially output YPbPr if the TV reports that it is supported. If it is not a reported mode it will output RGB, although I'm not sure of the RGB colorspace.

The preference for YPbPr is actually a problem for my crappy Insignia TV as it automatically applies overscan with no option to remove it. RGB video has no overscan applied to it and is actually 1:1 pixel perfect.

Thanks Taddeusz.

It's quite a mess - I have a settop, an HTPC and an extender connected via an Yamaha receiver and both a plasma and a projector connected to the output via a splitter. Seems that the easiest to do is to standardize for limited RGB or YPbPr all over.
