windows 8.1 upgrade issues
All,
I just upgraded to windows 8.1 from XP because I want to run plex and it won't run on XP. The process was XP -> 7 -> 8, because I had 7 to install as an interim to see if I liked it. Win7 ran without any issues. I just upgraded to win8.1 and cannot get playback to work. In the video setup, I have sagetv as the mpeg2 decoder, the only other option is microsoft dtv<somethint> That one causes sage to crash. With sagetv it will play, but it is all shifted funny to the top left, and I can see the edges of the UI around. If I click on the video, I get a black box over it. Something just isn't right. What special things do I need to do to get windows 8.1 to work? Plex runs without any issues. thanks, david

I use EVR and MPEG2 decoder set to default. Ihave everything set to default except EVR that way it uses the windows 8.1 decoders.
