Thumbs up Thanks for the new Z-Offset feature

I wanted to add the toolbar I'm developing to the menu theme in SageMC so that it could be easily propagated to all of the menus, but this always resulted in the toolbar being rendered below other menu components. Last night I updated to 6.1.4RC and set the toolbar Z-Offset to a positive value and bam! It worked perfectly. Thanks to the SageTV developers for this new feature!

Aloha,
Mike

When I saw that change, I knew you would like it.

Glad to hear you like it. The only thing I was thinking of doing differently was making 2 of them. One for events and one for rendering. Then you could have things visually on top without them interfering with events; and vice versa (But that only really applys to mouse activity I think....I can't think of any reason z order would effect other events; the hierarchy is what controls that). I decided against it though because it seemed like it might confuse too much.

One thing I noticed is that options menus seem to override the control hierarchy. In my case, an options menu popped up as the result of selecting a 'stop' button in my toolbar. The toolbar was still drawn above the options menu, but the options menu took control focus. I was able to figure out a work-around, but I thought the behavior was inconsistent.

Thanks again!

Aloha,
Mike

OptoinsMenus always go on top. They're one level higher in the hierarchy then you actually have access to.
