Crash.

Still running my trial, hoping to work out all the kinks before I make the switch from Cable DVR to Sage (and drop the $80).

Here's my latest issue: Live TV was playing, I click back twice to get to the main menu, then clicked Program Guide (preview window started playing again), and then clicked twice on the program that was currently airing (once to select, the second time to click "Watch Now").

This caused a crash (Windows crash report dialog, then client exit). SageTVService.exe is still running, so this is a client-only crash.

In fact, my wife did this. You can imagine the reaction that got. I'm under enough scrutiny for spending all this cash on the HTPC components to begin with. =P Definitely points in the "Con" column for Sage.

Attached are the two logs (first 1/2 clipped out to make it small enough to post). Anyone have any suggestions?

So RemoveFilter [VidRend] causes a hang in the local UI Process for Sage. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to avoid this? Does it mean I'm using the wrong video renderer for HD OTA content with an HDHR? (VMR9)

Should I uninstall/reinstall Java? Sage? Upgrade to Vista?

Do the paying customers put up with stuff like this?

This is a user-to-user forum. If no one has a suggestion, try submitting a support request to SageTV. There are links for that in my sig lines & on the main forum page, among other places.
