How do I get the extender to automatically start SageTV
How do I get my extenders (HD200) to automatically start SageTV? Right now the unit boots up and is in extender or standalone mode and then I have to select SageTV at the top right.

Also how can I modify the GUI so they dont have options for TV or other options since they dont use that.

Try pressing the HOME key when the unit is in standby.

Bah I goofed at this post. I fixed the problem now the extender goes into SageTV right away when you power it on.

Is their a way to modify the GUI so they only see Movies/Photos/Music/Online Services, or how can I move that stuff around?

In the standard UI you can install Neilm's Dynamic Menus which will let you add and remove menu choices on all of the menus.

How did you get it to go straight to sage?

On the SageTV Servers menu, you can also configure it to auto-connect to the last server when you use the Power button, but the above is faster.

There are three ways to start the extender:

Home button on remote: This is the short-cut to turning it on.
Power button on remote: This turns it off and on 'the longer way.'
Attach power: This 'cold boots' the unit, with a really long 'SageTV' logo.

If one doesn't work, try the next. If none of these finds the SageTV server, then I'd reboot the server computer next (not just the server software, the whole machine).

If that doesn't work, check the connection -- I have a switch in-between that seems to get 'hung' once in a while.
