Weird issue with SageTV, Win7, and HDhomerun
I just installed Windows 7 RC and installed the latest beta build of SageTV. When doing the initial channel scan of the hdhomerun for QAM, it quickly scanned using the results in the scan from the hdhomerun setup utility and everything worked fine. I then enabled SageTV as a service and the channel scan no longer read from the HDHomerun scan and performed its own scan not finding all of my channels. I tried to change the user name that the service ran under to the account I use to log into my pc however that doesn't resolve the issue. If I disable the service mode and launch SageTV it again works reading from the HDHomerun setup utility. Any ideas?

Are you running the service as the same user/password that you used to run the HDHOMERUN setup utility?

Yes, it's running as the same user account used to run the hdhomerun setup utility.

Check file locations. Vista and win7 like to only let SageTV write files in the SageTV Directory. any other program that tries to write there gets redirected to the VirtualStore directory. This includes the HDHomeRun setup utilities. I'm betting your .SCN files are in the virtual store instead of in the actual sagetv directory, and should be moved. Once moved to the main sagetv directory, your in-sage scan should be rapid/correct as usual.
EDIT: An additional option (though I haven't tried it) is to set the HDHomeRun Setup to run as administrator.. I believe this allows it to write to the SageTV Directory.
