Best way to start fresh without plugins?

More hair pulling frustrations with sage, ready to wipe the slate and start over again.

Now the issues are that the service will not start unless it is logged in under a user that doesn't exist on XP anymore. Of course, if I let it log in that way, it has all kinds of issues with permissons, but at least it runs. I am also experiencing the same sluggishness on 7.016 that some are seeing, and that is also present (according to what I've read) on the RC.

At this point, I just want it to be stable for a while, so I am hoping that going back to 7.012 will eliminate the sluggishness. Is it best to uninstall the plugins from the interface first, install 7.012, and then replace the props and wiz files? Or do I just uninstall sage, delete the directory, and reinstall the 7.012 version?

On your issue with the service logon I would make sure all of your machines are in the same workgroup.

Depending on number of plugins I find it easier to do a clean install. The amount of time to configure tuners isn't much. (2 HDHRs and a HD-PVR)And that way you're sure you have a clean minimal install without the possiblility of something left over from a plugin. ANd I always run it for a little while with the new wiz.bin to cinfirm it works before dropping in my original wiz.bin.
