Problem Moving Recordings from SageTV 6 to 7

I have been using SageTV 6.6 on XP and would like to move its recordings to an installation of SageTV 7 on Windows 7.

I have a dual boot windows XP and 7 so the video files are staying on the same drive.

I have copied over Wiz.bin from the 6.6 directory and set advanced_video_file_recovery=true in the SageTV 7 install directory.

The recordings aren't showing up in the SageTV 7 recordings window.

Is this the correct method to use? Is there something else I should do?

Thanks

Have you configured the recording directory in V7 to the directory with the files in it? If so, they should automagically appear...

That's the first thing I tried. Are you thinking it should have worked without copying over the wiz.bin file?

Thanks

No, you definately need the wiz.bin but after setting up the recording directory and copying over the wiz.bin, the recordings should show up. Was Sage closed (and the service stopped if you are using the service) when you copied over the wiz.bin? Are the recordings showing up as imported videos?

Everything was closed before I copied Wiz.bin over.
I did set the video recording directories as imported directories as well before I copied over Wiz.bin but it looks like copying over Wiz.bin reset that.
I reset the imported directories to the video recording directories but I still didn't get anything listed as recordings at least at first.
I checked back a couple hours later and all my recordings are listed in the recordings window. Do you think setting the import directories solved the issue or was it waiting?
So that's a lot for the help.

To summarize if it's helpful for anyone else, this is what I did to resolve my problem:
1.Turn off services and quit all SageTV applications.
2.Copy over Wiz.bin to new directory.
3.Set set advanced_video_file_recovery=true in sage.properties in the new directory.
4.Open SageTV.
5.Set Recording directories and Import directories(may not be needed) to point to where the existing recordings are.
6.Wait a couple hours
7.Check to see if the recordings show up in the recordings window.
8.Set set advanced_video_file_recovery=false in sage.properties in the new directory.
