So what do you think? Worth a shot? I don't really have issues with my HD-PVR but every once in a while it may miss a recording. (Less than once a month.) I see it says stability updates.

Installed with no issues. We'll see how it goes tonight.

Is there a new firmware in this? I am still having issues with frequent resolution changes in cable TV programming. (I miss the stability of DirecTV output!)

This is a post from the Colossus thread,

Go to:

Setup - Setup Video Sources - Colossus - Color Calibration

Set everything to default (or adjust to taste). My settings were all jacked up for some reason. Hue and Sharpness default settings appear to be screwy so I just set them to 196 and 192 respectively.

Settings are now (I believe this is default):

125
128
128
196
192

I am having issues with the new driver and my brightness contrast as well but on my HDPVR's with the new driver. My problem is there isn't a Setup - Setup Video Sources - HDPVR - Color Calibration option...

I tried to reset using the TME (Arcsoft) 2.4 software but doesn't change the brightness/contrast in Sagetv...

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Jeremy

Yup I saw that to use Graphedit to reset it under video capture soures you have do ever time you reboot or best thing is go back to other drivers for now in tell they get fix out.

Confirmed. I went back to the 1.5.7.0 version. The brightness thing is way too funky and seems to mess up the backgrounds in the scenes the worst.

Ditto, I couldn't get the settings to stick with graphedit even after numerous restarts and tweak attempts, it's just off, so back to 1.5.7.0 for me as well. Too bad, don't get to try out the stability tweaks...

I'm living in PAL-land, so I get the same old flicker that used to plague the previous drivers until they released a fix for it.

Seems like I'll be having to wait again....

I just went through this problem after updating drivers. It seems by going into the TME package the various settings can be adjusted for each HDPVR. Just going into the settings and hitting the 'default button seems to bring things back to where they were before Hauppauge "fixed it". These settings seem to 'take' within Sage... though I haven't tried a reboot so don't know if they stick.

Edit: nevermind, found the right thread here:http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/showthread.php?t=49290
