Sage overwrites BMT metadata?

Hey guys

I have another small issue with BMT.

My recorded TV files are in the correct format for one of the BMT scrapers to pickup the season & episode details: "TheBigBangTheory-S2E12TheKillerRobotInstability-13921470-0.mpg"

What I've noticed is that as soon as a recording is finished, BMT correctly scrapes the S/E details from the filename & updates the S/E fields in BMT for that recording.

HOWEVER - after some time (usually overnight), the S/E details, which BMT scraped get wiped & the show reverts back to blank fields for S/E.

Now, in BMT preferences I've disabled "Preserve Original Metadata for Recordings", however this issue is still happening.

Is there anything else I can do - do I need to restart the SageTV service?

Thanks in advance!

Hmm can anyone help?

The sequence is as follows:

1. SageTV records a show
2. S/E fields in BMT are blank
3. BMT correctly scrapes the Episode & Season number from the filename
4. S/E details are correctly updated in BMT (verified via the web interface)
5. Overnight, the S/E fields in BMT are wiped again. This always happens overnight. Does not happen during the day.
6. If I click "Update Metadata" in BMT web interface, the S/E details are correctly updated and remain "sticky" - they do not get wiped.
7. If I look at the shows that got "wiped" overnight - their properties files are missing.

My EPG updates overnight - could this have something to do with it??

Thanks.

I don't have anything to offer... I've heard of people complain of this before, but I've never experienced it myself.

How about this workaround?

Ok, I've disabled by EPG refresh last night & the same thing happened (BMT-scraped S/E details wiped again), so that is not the issue.

I've noticed that hitting "Update Metadata" in BMT web interface makes the scraped info "sticky" (they don't get wiped overnight).

In this case - is there anyway I can schedule the "Update Metadata" function to run across all my TV shows overnight via the Windows Task Scheduler? Is there a command line program for BMT to enable this?

Do you have any other metadata programs running? Do you have Ortus or SMM installed as well... are they updating the metadata after BMT?

So is there any command line magic I can do to refresh my TV show metadata nightly?
