|
No audio when playing back HD-PVR files in MediaPlayer Classic
I occasionally transfer SageTV recorded files to my laptop so that I can watch them while travelling. I seem to be having trouble playing back files recorded from my HD-PVRs that are in .ts format on my laptop in MediaPlayer classic. I use SPDIF for my audio connection for these recordings.
Anyone have any advice on what to do? Presumably I need a codec, but which codec? I have also tried other programs like VLC but they seem to struggle with the playback.

Download and install AC3filter codec

It turns out that on my laptop I was using Media Player Classic, not Media Player Classic - Home Cinema. Once I installed the newer program all was well and I didn't need a codec pack.
