Sage metadata for mcebuddy

I know some of you use mcebuddy for cutting commercials, file conversions, etc. Mcdbuddy doesn't seem to be pulling metadata from Sage consistently so that it saves the files it outputs in a Plex friendly format. It's getting the series name right, but no data for the season number, episode number, etc. I have a corresponding .properties file with the video file, but still nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Are you using the donator version of MCEBuddy?

You might want to look at this.

.properties files do not by default, contain all the metadata for a recording. They contain all 'changes' to metadataa for a recording. When a file recording is initally made, sage puts the information it has (from the EPG) in mpg the file itself. It never changes that data, and any further changes to the metadata for a file (like from Phoenix) are written in the database, and optionally out to the .properties file as well. This provides a backup of the data if the wiz.bin is lost of the file is moved to a new server. Sage will be able to read in the metadata from the file, and 'playback' the changes from the .properties file.

You can use the CMT plugin to generate full properties files.

I am using the donator version of MCEBuddy. So using the CMT plugin in Sage will generate the properties files that MCDBuddy needs?

Where is that setting? Is there a way to have it go through my library and generate properties from previous recordings?

It will create a property file for all your recordings. Go to Setup- Details - Customize - metadata options - automatic create and delete - create metadata files for all recordings set to yes.
