HD300 Motion Adaptive De-interlacing
Just wanted to note that if others are having this problem it may help them as well. My Samsung TV kept showing odd slow motion (possibly dropped frames) during sporting events mainly large camera moves with lots of moving parts. After much investigation and turning things off and on in the TV menu I finally stumbled upon the answer. In my case at least, turning off "Motion Adaptive De-Interlacing" on the HD300 fixed the problem.

I looked in all the setting menus and didn't find any mention in the help file either.

Did you look in the stand alone settings on the HD300? I've seen it before I just don't remember if it was connect to a SageTV server or if it was in the stand alone settings.

In my case I changed the settings via Setup->Detailed Setup
I'm not at home at the moment so I don't remember exactly which submenu it was in but it is available to change via the GUI. |

At home now so:
Setup>Detailed Setup>Multimedia > Last item on Right after scrolling down = "Motion Adaptive Deinterlacing" From default STV no Gemstone or other GUI.

I'll have to adjust it in the client properties file.

AH now I understand. I thought you were looking for it on an extender. It probably isn't a feature that is available for a client just the extenders. I don't remember it being on a HD200 either but I could be wrong about that.

Yeah, it won't be on there on Client, that's only there for extenders, and I think only the HD300. Deinterlacing settings for Client would be in the properties/settings (outside Sage) for whatever decoders you're using.

I meant the client properties file on the server for the extender.
I was looking on a HD200. It never dawned on me that this would be a HD300 only feature (and it is there on the HD300 - I just checked). I tend to forget that there are differences between the HD200 and HD300 besides native DTS decoding. Sorry for the mix-up.

The setting is also available in the stand-alone settings on the HD300. I found them over the weekend. I believe the path is Settings > Advanced Settings - last item in list on right side.

I just got a 4K Samsung, and have re-enabled native output switching so that 720P gets upscaled just once, not twice. Thanks, Drew
