Recordings have vanished - poof!
this has never happened before: got home, and my server said something to the effect of:
"the connection to the SageTV service has been lost. The connection will be rest abolished once the SageTV service restarts" So I rebooted. Sage started as per usual, but there was a yellow warning icon on the toolbar (as there is when a conflict exists), except this time, when I opened up my server, there was NO RECORDINGS menu item. Gone Vanished both recording drives are functional, as is my third, video drive for things that fall under the 'Video' menu heading on the server. Just TV/recordings has vanished. No idea where to start on this one - anyone else ever see this?

Assuming you've rebooted again already and experience the same issue, can you confirm that your recorded files are in their correct places and just not showing up in Sage?

If I stop the service from running and boot Sage, it initializes, opens and crashes, however, TV is on the menu. If I run service first, Sage will run, but TV is missing

ok, stopped the service from running. deleted sage properties, and reintialized. I can now go thru setting up my two tuners again (pita), but things are at least working to a point. Something corrupted something else, and I have no way of knowing, since I wasn't even in the building when said corruption happened, unlike Nixon.
