How do we use that fix?? Or is this something we will have to wait and see in the next release/beta??

It was a new DShowCapture.dll but I do not know if it really fixes the problem or not. I expect it will be in the next beta I was told "which will come off very soon".
BTW: I was also given other instructions (to increase a delay time) in case I see the issue again.

That's great. At least it's a move towards something. I'll let everyone know what response I get.

I got a similar response from support regarding my 5 minute issue. And it looks like the fix has made it into the just released 6.3.9 release candidate (see excerpt from release notes below).

Not sure if this will fix the issue you are seeing with the Hauppauge card, though. I am interested to learn what you are able to find out from support.

Hopefully the same fix will apply to the HVR-1600's, etc.

Hi Nick, I've sent support a couple of sets of log files. I've not heard anything since then and am still waiting. I did upgrade to the latest release candidate but I've not had another incident.

Update: I did hear from support last night. He says he fixed this in 6.3.9RC but asked me to turn on native logging and let him know if it happens again. (so it wasn't just for the HDHR's)

Since I updated to the release candidate of 6.3.9, I've not seen it reoccur but I'm leaving all the logging on and watching it closely.

Kudos to Sage and the Sage support group. They continue to exceed my expectations at every turn.

Anyone know how what the fix was in RC6.3.9 associated with this in the release notes?

Windows Updates
1. FIX: HDHomeRun 5 min recording missing

I too had the 5 missing minutes problem with my new HDHR. I just upgraded to the new RC last night and will see if the problem reappears.

For those who have tried 6.3.9 RC: has this fixed your issue? I'm assuming "yes" since this thread has gone quiet. I have the same issue and will upgrade if others think this is working.

BTW, where can I download the RC software? Thanks.

I have not had time to try this yet, but I really hope it solves the problem...

See the first sentence of post #28 above. It's fixed for me and it has not reoccurred for me. I'm on 6.3.10RC now.

I have been seeing the issue as well, and I have an AverMedia M780. I have not tried the Beta software yet, but I will install it tonight

I've seen it happen at least 4 times in the last few weeks on different channels. Guess I'll have to bite the bullet and upgrade to an RC.

I installed 6.3.10RC last night. I should know in a couple of days if it worked, since the bug happens nearly every day. It sounds like Mark57 is having good luck with the upgrade though, so hopefully this one is solved.

Bad news. Installing 6.3.10RC did not solve my issue. Some programs are still getting the first 5 minutes chopped off.

I have a theory that it may be somehow related to some weird channel mappings I have. I reinstalled Sage recently and I have some duplicate channels. I'm using DirecTV and they renamed some channels since my last install, so 383 is now both KNBC and KNBC-HD, for example. The five minute problem is only happening of these duplicate channels as far as I know, which seems fishy to me.

I plan to straighten out my channels this weekend so hopefully that will fix things.

Be sure to notify support. The developer told me via email he fixed this issue in 6.3.9RC so if it's not, they need to know.

just saw it too. 2.5min of "No Signal" on the screen. had 5min start padding on the show so I went to the guide and tuned into the previous program that was still running and got a picture immediately.

filed a bug report.

I fixed my channel mappings and am still seeing the issue; the first five minutes of some shows are not recording, even with v6.3.10. I notified support and sent them a copy of my log file showing the issue. Hopefully they'll come up with something.

I have also seen it happen twice in the past week running 6.3.9. I am planning to reopen my bug report this week.
