Copy existing SageMC set-up to HD-100

I have sagemc set-up on a windows based client and would like to know how to copy that over to my HD-100. I run the latest sage beta on WHS and need to know what files to copy over.

Thanks

Whitey

You don't need to copy any files. Simply load the *.xml file (SageMC_169-x.xml, unless you renamed it) on the extender. Done.

Thanks but I don’t currently have sagemc on my server only on my two windows xp clients. I know I could set it up on the server but then I would have to go through setting up again to how I like it and I wanted to avoid that if possible.

Oh, sorry. Didn't see that it was on a client vs server.

I've never setup a client, so I'm not sure what you'd need to do in terms of moving files.

I do think, however, that most (all?) plugins import the information into the XML file, so it's in one place. Have you tried copying that file to the server, then loading it from the extender?

Matt

In SageMC options, there is a way to export, or save, the property settings, save them to a new file (from a current client), maybe titled HD-100, then on the HD-100, go into the SageMC options, and import the property settings.

I did that on my MVP when I set it up in the gym, worked perfectly, from what I could tell.

You could also save your menu layouts if you are using dynamic menus, so you don't have to redo those either.

It took me about 5 minutes to get my MVP acting the same way as my HTPC in the living room, of course, minus animations...
