No sound live tv and recorded playback

I have no sound in live tv or recorded playback. The sound works fine when playing back other videos or mp3's not recorded in SageTv. I have looked over the forum and faq's and tried a number of things to no avail. I changed the audio renderer in the detailed setup to every selection listed but no change. I reinstalled my audio drivers with the latest version, no change. I installed SageTv version 6.6.2 no change. I checked the audio slider in the osd, all the way to the right, mute icon is white not red. The sound works fine in all my other media players. The sound did work fine previously but now it doesn't. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
