Sagetv HD100

I know this is probably been talked about already. But I am just wondering if the first sagetv extender the 100 can be used to watch live tv and recorded tv with the hauppauge hd pvr? Also can it play back bluray rips with forced subtitles? Thanks.

I'm not sure about subtitles with BlueRay, but I know it can do everything else. In fact, that is what I am using.

You are going to have problems with the Blu-Ray content, it just wasn't designed to handle the high bit rates that Blu-Ray can throw at it. However, it works great for HDPVR recorded stuff.

It will play most bluray's, I only have 1 that has issues playing with the video being choppy. The main issue I found with the bluray's is the audio track. I convert all of mine to AC3 and they all play without issue with the normal video stream ( except the 1, go figure... George Carlin...)

Thanks,
Jeff
