I'm a little confused with what version of Sagemc to load

I'm running the latest version of Sage7 beta. I've downloaded the MC in the plugin section, but this seems different than version SageMC16x9 6.3.9a I was running before.

which should I be loading, or can I use SageMC16x9 6.3.9a?

Have you tried loading the one in the Plugins option? That should be the one ready to be used in Sage7.

I did. But it just doesn't seem the same as version SageMC16x9 6.3.9a. Also, when I run it and move around the menus it seems to throw me into the default Sage7 one.

AFAIK that is the version to use. I installed and tried SageMC on Sage7 for about an hour but the betas were affecting my HD100 but worked fine on the HD200s so I just went back to the default 7 interface. My guess is the development on SageMC may of just been a stop gap to fix some of the show stoppers for Sage7 because there was a post a while back about SageMC being depreciated over the Phoenix project.

I know this doesn't help but it's looking like phoenix is coming along fairly nicely and they are posting screen caps so the release may be sooner than later.

The one from the plugins version is broken and appears to have been abandoned with nobody left to fix it. You can read about it here..

The last known bugfree version of sageTV was 6.3.9a; which works great and my opinion requires less keystrokes to do common tasks than in sageTV 7; and some things just simply look better.

Unfortunately, sageMC 6.3.9a is not compatible with sageTV 7.... so, I made a custom version of it that works great under sageTV 7. It has a couple of more mods builtin, if you use message send commands with your remote control software, "custom 5" takes you to the Horizontal schedule screen and "Custom 2" takes you to the added builtin sleep timer.

Just download the SageMC plugin from sageTV 7, but then replace the file SageMC_169.xml with the one attached to this post in the folder below:

C:\Program Files\SageTV\SageTV\STVs\SageTV3
