Can MyMovies plugin boot the HD-300 extender directly to the covers interface?

I would like to know if I can setup an HD-300 client to simply boot directly to the MyMovies interface for the plugin instead of the 9 icons. I want to dedicate a streamer to nothing but MyMovies collection- is this possible?

yes please! I know some people want to use their extenders for everything they can do, but to be honest the only thing I am interested in is the use of it as a streamer for ripped BluRay and DVD disks. Could this be added as an option to your plugin or something?

Yes! See I see this as dedicated, input specific movie player only- I don't care about anything else- I want my wife to be able to press a button and start selecting movies...

Sounds like the OP is talking about the extender's Standalone mode, should probably clarify a bit.

No- I mean as an extender for the MyMovies plugin so the full UI can be generated. Unless I am completely confused.

If you're seeing this main menu you're in standalone mode and if you're seeing this main menu you're in extender mode.

Yep MyMovies, as well as most plugins, only run in extender mode.

Out of curiosity, are you booting into Standalone mode and manually connecting to your SageTV server every time? If so, there's an option to auto connect to your SageTV server so you don't have to do that manually.

I will release an update shortly to add this feature. You will also be able to launch back into the main menu at any time for plugin updates and such.

could you password protect that option, or in it, or something? Just to make sure that the extender can be setup in a room for guests, and know that they will not screw it up? Or could it be enabled at the server level?

It will be password protected by the smm master password if you set that up if not it won't be password protected.

How will the option be accessed? I hope it would not be accessible by navigation of the interface- I would like the movie playing to be as "kiosk like" as possible, if possible.

It will be an adder on the options menu. But the entire options menu will require the password on a auto boot setting like this. As I font think anyone doing it in this mode would want anyone tinkering with even smm options.
