There's a new release out : should show up in your plugin manager.

Talk about the new build here.

Phoenix music is just about ready for it's first release. I'll slip a few screen shots in here, and add some official ones in the 'Screen Shot' sticky thread.

You must only have Satriani on your server Every screenshot, even way back, of the music UI shows Satriani...

I am seriously excited. I listen to more music than I watch TV with Sage and that looks awesome.

There are currently 3 music views - using that term in the way Phoenix uses it. They are basically artist, album, and genre.

I suspect I'll add a wall type browser, although the wall area would just be in the area that the left hand list is.

I'll go into more detail soon, but the main gist of the music browser is that whenever you hit enter the New Playlist starts playing. So anything over on the right hand side becomes the 'Now Playing' list.

"Restart SageTV" available through Phoenix UI?

I've been looking around for the "Restart SageTV" command in Phoenix and have yet to find it.

Is it in there somewhere?

My Colossus keeps failing to load in the morning after my server wakes up and my short term remedy is to just restart SageTV from my HD200, but for the moment that means I need to reload the stock UI to do it...

Any help?

Thanks,
uberpixel

That should be possible, but it's not a current part of the menu structure.

I don't know what the command is to restart the server - but if there is such a command, you can easily create a fragment which will insert a menu item for you to restart the server.

A fragment, which is probably documented pretty well somewhere in one of the stickies, is an XML file in the /userdata/Phoenix/Menus/ folder that looks like this :

Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE menus SYSTEM "menus.dtd">

<menus>
  <fragment parentMenu="phoenix.menu.lz.exit" insertAfter="phoenix.menu.lz.exit.standby">
    <menuItem name="phoenix.menu.lz.useritem.restart" label="Restart the Server" visible="true">
      <eval>SomeSageCommand("Target", false)</eval>
    </menuItem>
  </fragment>
</menus>
Assuming you can find somewhere in the sage API (and I'll poke around some and see if I can find anything also) you can replace the 'SomeSageCommand' above with an actual method call that results in a restart.

Phoenix is the bomb!!!

1.Any chance the basic sleep timer plugin will work, or could you add this function? I really like falling asleep with the tv on and this would really help.

2. The ability to create music playlists like in the sage ui, adding songs to the que then saving the que as a play list.

Thanks for all the hard work on this

That reminds me - ever since I switched to Phoenix, I noticed that my TV doesn't go to sleep anymore. It used to turn itself off after x minutes of no activity but now it stays on, displaying the sagetv screensaver. Any ideas why that is? TV is connected to my HTPC/server, fwiw.

I was looking around BMT and fixing some of my movies metadata when I noticed a lot of them had a field in the properties file label "TrailerUrl." I copied and pasted one into a browser and the trailer for the movie started playing.

Could an option be added to the movies detail info to play the trailer based off this field? I searched the forums and only found a few references that this field even existed. Does any plugin use this field?

Thanks for such a great UI. Everyone in my house loves it!

New Landing Zone in next release

Every new landing zone is my favorite, but THIS one is my favorite favorite so far

Calling it 'Metro' since it's got a strong Windows Phone 7 vibe, although it also reminds me of a Droid tablet's lock screen.

This menu looks real good with video playin' in the background also (although to be fair, most of the landing zones are very video background friendly).

We'll have to investigate this - I'm not sure what would trigger the TV going to sleep - did you have a Sleep Timer plugin or something like that installed in the default UI?
