PAL format

I have found a music DVD that I really like, but apparently its only in a PAL format. What would be my options to be able to play it?

I have only used NTSC format since I am hopelessly stuck in the midwest of the US of A.

It would be too easy if I could buy a PAL DVD player for a computer...once its on the computer...wellllllllllllllllllllll

It should play on just about anything Sage supports. The "issue" would depend on how picky you are about things like judder, since 50i doesn't fit well into our 60Hz world.

But I've got one PAL disk that works fine even on extenders.

I am an ex-pat brit and buy a lot of DVDs in PAL format from Amazon UK. Simply Rip it and Sage will play it fine. There is a little bit of jitter as mentioned above but its not very noticeable, it is worst during wide panning shots.

You may need to make sure your DVD drive has region free firmware installed, a google search should help with that and when you rip turn off the region protection just because you can.

...Isn't Sage Great

....and if you want to play it at 50Hz you can set up an extra resolution for 720x576i @ 50Hz or 1270x720p50 or 1080i50 in the .properties file of your extender. Then, you play this DVD you can switch to that res using the Video Out key on the remote.
